Smuggler's CoveSmuggler's Cove in Digby County Nova Scotia is a nice spot if you're looking for a place to stop for a picnic or a healthy climb to the beach below. This Nova Scotia park is well maintained and has picnic tables, running water, and a view of the scenic coastline. From high above the cove you can look out over the Bay of Fundy.
If you're adventurous, you can descend the stairs down to the water's edge for a walk on the pebbly beach. Smuggler's Cove is a little cove with a history. When the tide is out, you can venture into the cave and think of a time when rumrunners once brought their illegal liquor ashore. The cave is small but you will still want to make sure you're out before the tide starts to come back in.
When you've finished your adventure on the beach of Smuggler's Cove, you can climb the stairs back up to the picnic area and take the path to the cliff's edge. Here you can look out towards St. Mary's Bay, look out across the Bay of Fundy, or peer down along the rugged scenic coastline, watching as the waves hit against the rocks below. Smuggler's Cove with it's beach and cave is another place that could leave you with great memories to take home after you're visit to Southwestern Nova Scotia.
